3. User's explicit consent - we may share or sell your Personal Data to third parties upon your explicit consent. Please note that once we share your information with a third party, that information becomes subject to the other third party's privacy practices;

Deidentified Data and Machine Learning

We create deidentified (anonymized) data from the information users submit, such as case details, injury types, and settlement information. Deidentification means we remove direct identifiers (name, contact information, address) and supporting details that could reasonably be used, alone or in combination with other information, to identify a person, such as exact dates, precise locations, and unique facts or narrative details. Where small groupings of records could otherwise permit identification, we aggregate the data further.

We use deidentified data to train, test, and improve machine learning models and algorithms, including the systems that generate settlement estimates and match users with attorneys. We may also use, disclose, license, sell, or share deidentified data with third parties, such as attorneys, insurers, researchers, and analytics firms, for similar purposes, including use in training machine learning models.

In accordance with applicable law: we maintain and use this data only in deidentified form; we publicly commit not to attempt to reidentify it; and we contractually require any recipient of the data to maintain it in deidentified form and to never attempt to reidentify any individual.

Length of Time Data is Retained

We retain each category of personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, using the following criteria: whether the information is needed to provide the Service you requested (for example, connecting you with an attorney and supporting that connection); whether we have an ongoing business need (such as recordkeeping, billing with our advertising customers, fraud prevention, or defending legal claims); and whether we are required to retain it by law. Form submissions and related lead records are generally retained while these needs exist; technical logs are retained for shorter periods. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete it or deidentify it as described above. We may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion, and we will delete Personal Data upon a verified request as described below, subject to legal exceptions.

Children

While our administrators are able to view and track actual transactions via the client portals of the payment processors, we do not have access to, or process, credit card information.

We use social media plug-ins (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
